How Camera Movements Can Affect Emotions And The Story 
camera angles and movements of the camera can create lots of emotion attacthment and feeling toward a movie and character(s) within the movie 

  • Crane down- camera entering in from an upward shot moving downwards joining into a story
  • Crane up- shows what the the character is going to be facing and what the obstacle is that he's going against 
  • high to low angle shot- create a menacing looking character and makes them look even more in charge
  • handheld camera movement- gives us an unsettling feeling and sense of danger 
  • quick pan- can change the mood of the scene in the matter of seconds just by sliding to the side to reveal whats going on 
  • quick push in- shows surprise or shock on a character 
  • slow dolly in- shows tension and gives a sense of intimacy when moved in closer 
  • slowly dolly out- shows the character being lost and not understanding of whats going on and to give a sense of confusion 
  • 360 reveal- sense of surveying the area and showing that something is bound to happen so get ready
